While at Eagle’s Nest you can rent a boat to fish for some of the plentiful rainbow trout, or take a canoe to explore the lake, see a beaver lodge, or watch the pelicans as they fish. You can enjoy the view from a table in our garden over lunch, or rejuvenate in our 24 hour hot tub. And the Eagle’s Nest boutique is a joy to browse in.

For the more adventurous, enjoy a day hike around the Eagle’s Nest Marsh Trail, along the volcanic canyon wall of The Precipice, or up the Mt. Kappan Lookout Trail for a magnificent 270 degree view of the Pacific Coast Mountains and the Chilcotin Plateau (see The Sights).

The Eagle's Nest property has been described as "a virtual birding hotspot" (Whatcom Watch newspaper, Bellingham WA) - the grounds and lake are alive with birdlife of all descriptions (see Birds and Wildlife). And if you enjoy photography, the Anahim Lake area presents amazing photographic opportunities.

Departing from our dock in a famous Beaver floatplane, in no time at all you will be taking in amazing vistas of rugged mountaintops, roaring waterfalls, and massive glaciers. Trail rides by horseback, for just a day or for a week, are available through several operators in the area. Eagle’s Nest can help you to make arrangements. And Eagle’s Nest is the perfect base for day trips down “The Hill” to Bella Coola or to any of the wilderness sights that make the Chilcotin region so special.

In winter, enjoy skating or playing hockey on our ice rink, cross-country ski across the frozen lake, snowshoe in the woods, or take a spectacular snowmobile trip into the Rainbow Mountains. Of course, you can always curl up by a cozy fire as well.
